Xin “Henry” Zhang

Xin Zhang, a.k.a Henry, is an Assistant Professor in Statistics at the Florida State University. He recieved his B.S. degree in Applied Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China, and his Ph.D. degree in Statistics from University of Minnesota. In May 2014, Henry finished his Ph.D. thesis, titled ‘‘Envelopes for efficient multivariate parameter estimation’’, advised by Professor R. Dennis Cook.

His current research interests include neuroimaging data analysis, tensor data analysis, multivariate high-dimensional statistics, sufficient dimension reduction and a nascent area in statistics called envelopes, whose goal is to increase efficiency in multivariate parameter estimation and prediction.

He is currently teaching STA 4321/5323: Introductory Mathematical Statistics in Spring 2016.
