Liberal Studies Courses in the Department of Statistics

The Florida State University Department of Statistics offers several courses which count as Liberal Studies credit.

For the Quantitative / Logical Thinking requirement, we offer:

STA 1013 Statistics Through Example
STA 1220 In My Opinion: Introduction to Designing, Conducting and Analyzing Surveys
STA 2023 Fundamental Business Statistics
STA 2122 Introduction to Applied Statistics
STA 2171 Statistics for Biology

For the Scholarship in Practice requirement, we offer:

STA 1220 In My Opinion: Introduction to Designing, Conducting and Analyzing Surveys

This 3-credit class is Liberal-Studies Scholarship in Practice, rather than Upper-Division Scholarship in Practice. In addition to receiving Liberal-Studies Scholarship in Practice credit, this course also provides students with a Quantitative / Logical Thinking course.
