All you need to do is use one of the ssh file transfer clients (like Filezilla or WinSCP) to upload your files to your home directory on stat. By default, you'll login to your account (your email username and password), change the folder to web-docs, and drop your files in.

The address is http://www.stat.fsu.edu/~username/ and there is a place holding index.html which you can replace, or remove if you want to use an alternative indexing file:

index.shtml (server parsed html)
index.php (PHP scripting language)

If using one of the above, it is recommended to remove the index.html file to reduce the possiblity of future confusion.

Just mind your linkies so that they point to the right files within the www space. Some windows based HTML editors have a habit of making links point to things like C:\User\Desktop\somefileorother.png which won't translate to linux name space very well.

Teaching you HTML or PHP is beyond the scope of this document, however tutorials (HTML|PHP) exist.

Once you have a working personal website, drop a note to the webmaster@stat.fsu.edu to request linkage between your department people listing your your home page.
